My car sat with Automotive Resources for over six months without starting any repairs due to a backordered part that "might" be needed. I finally moved the car to another shop, and they fixed it within two weeks using the available parts that Automotive Resources had been sitting on. The new shop said there was no indication that the backordered part was ever needed. Do not take your car here. -- Response to owner: My car was at your shop for three months before you ordered the unnecessary, backordered part. You refused to begin repairs until the part arrived, despite acknowledging that the part might not be needed, and despite the terrible backorder. Unacceptable and inexcusable.
Hi Tessa, I'm very sorry that your experience was less than ideal, but I'd like to take the opportunity to explain to our existing and prospective new customers in more detail why your case is far from normal. The damage sustained to the front suspension on your car was inspected by our ASE certified technicians, and was subsequently inspected by inspectors from your insurance company and all were in agreement on what components needed to be replaced to ensure the repair was done properly. Unfortunately due to supply chain issues with Volkswagen, we were unable to obtain all of the parts needed in a timely manner. We aim to produce quality work that we can stand behind, and cutting corners against the expert advice of our qualified technicians is not something we do, and your insurance company agreed with us and advised us to complete the repair when all of the parts were available. Again, I'm very sorry we were unable to complete the repairs on your car in a timely manner, but I want you to know that your experience is not the norm at Automotive Resources, it was an unfortunate situation involving supply chain problems and an insurance company.
